The opening weekend for the 2008 Checkered Flag Productions Monster Truck Winter Nationals Championship series was held in Topeka, KS December 28th-29th at the Kansas Expocentre. Monster trucks competing included Bigfoot, Twisted Dragon, Larry Quick's Ghost Ryder, Bulletproof, Monkey'N Around, and Barbarian.
